Alex Aiken makes a return visit to Williams
Williams Aerospace Engineering were pleased to welcome Alex Aiken, Executive Director for Government Communications, Cabinet Office, No.10, back to our Southampton premises – and he was very impressed at the new, efficient and modern workshop facilities we now offer. Williams Managing Director David Fripp showed Mr Aiken around the Engineering specialities Williams excel in from Gear Cutting, CNC milling, CNC turning, Grinding, Flat & Cylindrical Lapping to Honing, and explained the extremely high tolerances and quality of work Williams have become famous for.
Topics discussed during the meeting included Government support for manufacturing businesses, future support for those manufacturing companies, supplying to the Civil Aviation Industry, Commercial Banking support, the impact Covid-19 has placed on the business and much more.
Mr Aiken was extremely knowledgeable with manufacturing processes and will look to raise some of the points discussed, with the Prime Minister and Government Officials in due course.
